Simon says, “Pat your head”. We pat our heads. Jesus says, “Go therefore and make disciples.” We memorize that verse. — Francis Chan (via withonefootinafairytale)

Like all the time.
I saw this on Pinterest today. It was as if the person who posted it knew exactly what I needed to hear.
Lately I’ve been dwelling on that fact that things I have earnestly been asking God for have not been given to me. I’m confused. I’m frustrated. I’m impatient.
But God has generously given me so much already. Why can’t I focus on that and be thankful? God isn’t necessarily telling me no. He is saying, “wait my dear child. Learn patience. Trust me. Wait for my timing, for it is perfect. I will be faithful.”
May we be mindful of all that God has lavished on us and be encouraged by His love and faithfulness.“No one can believe how powerful prayer is and what it can effect, except those who have learned it by experience. Whenever I have prayed earnestly, I have been heard and have obtained more than I prayed for. God sometimes delays, but He always comes.” - Martin Luther
I am no longer anxious about anything as I realize that He is able to carry out His will, and His will is mine. It makes no matter where He places me, or how. That is for Him to consider rather than me; for in the easiest positions He will give me grace, and in the most difficult His grace is sufficient. — Hudson Taylor
Oh, what it would be like to laugh at future days. To be so confident in the plan that God has for me that I don’t need to worry about what I will do tomorrow or the next day, or the next.
Lord, take away my anxiety and doubt and replace it with faith. I trust in your timing.
